Lovers of hiking will be glad to know we have installed new boards permitting nature observation and interpretation on the high summits of Charlevoix (mont du Lac à l’Empêche, mont Du-Four). The hike will be an opportunity to enrich one’s knowledge of natural phenomena.

With the support of Mountain Equipment Co-Op and its Environment Fund, we have developed  this new 18 km trail for short hikes along which the boards are found. The trail is located east of provincial park Des Grands-Jardins.

Like Mountain Equipment Co-Op, we are concerned about the preservation of our environment. As this outstanding milieu is so very fragile, we wanted hikers to be aware of the natural phenomena, thus to be more incline to adopt a behaviour that is kind to environment and that protects nature.
