Camping on the traversée trail

For those who desire to complete the traverse independently, it is possible to reserve rustic campsites. 

Three tent bases have been set up for each stage (Écureuil, Marmotte, Bihoreau – 1 km from the Chouette, Geai Bleu, Coyote, Épervier). They measure 8 feet x 8 feet and are directly on the ground, slightly elevated to avoid water accumulation. The sites are somewhat set back from the cabins for a degree of privacy.

Each tent base now has its own picnic table.

A wildlife-proof food storage box has been installed at each stage and is shared between the other campsite users.

*Please note that the camping sites are exclusively reserved for those undertaking the thru-hike, whether it’s a half or the full traverse.

**Note that food drops are possible for each stage except for the Bihoreau. The deposit will be left in the food storage box.
